Post Office Hill Action Group

Print

Post Office Hill Action Group (POHAG) was formed ten years ago to protect Old Post Office Hill and surrounding area to retain it as open public land, available to the whole community. The Chewton Primary School is virtually surrounded by this reserve of 22.6 hectares. The area is important and interesting environmentally, historically, socially, geographically, and geologically. Research has uncovered many unique features. POHAG’s activities are predominantly focused on weed control (woody species in particular), and revegetation using indigenous plant species.
