The Maldon District Museum contains a large and diverse collection of artefacts from the district. The artefacts range from the unique and highly significant to the curious and commonplace; they all contribute to the rich narrative of the Maldon District. Our museum volunteers meet weekly to catalogue and care for the collection. The History Research Centre houses an extensive collection of Maldon District records, images and reference material which is useful for family history and local district research. Expert researchers are available to assist and manage research requests and we are working to put information online at maldonmuseum.com.au.
Public opening hours are Fridays 10am to 2pm for research and Saturdays 1:30pm to 4pm and Market Sundays 10:30am to 2pm to view the museum. Other times by appointment.
