The Friends work with Parks Victoria to care for Kalimna Park, a 187 hectare bush reserve on the north east boundary of Castlemaine.
Home to koalas, echidnas, swamp wallabies and kangaroos and a large range of birds, the Park also is a habitat for the threatened Eltham Copper Butterfly.
The Friends care for the park by advocating for track work, weed control, correct management of controlled burns and we organise activities such as guided walks, weeding and planting days.
