Castlemaine Highland Pipe Band

Print

The Castlemaine Highland Pipe Band is a social band that regularly plays a range of local events. We have been in the community since 1953 and are known for wearing traditional uniform, including feather bonnets, horse hair sporrans, woolen kilts and plaids.

The band holds weekly practices in the band hall, located in the Castlemaine Botanic Gardens. Every Wednesday evening from 7 pm onward is a full band practice. Learner’s start at 6 pm.

All are welcome. We love beginners, so if you’re interested in learning the bagpipes or drums feel free to contact or just drop in. Experienced players looking for a friendly band should join the team too!
