Jessica Spalding and Sarah Wallace-Smith start their show “Residency” with the transient vulnerability of the human form, an intimate exploration of the residency we all hold inside our bodies.
We hope to explore the human vessel, to consider when its form does not reflect the ‘self’ inside, while the world changes around us so quickly.
Being a change of space, place, time and collaboration, our residency at CASPA invites us to create works we are yet to conceive, making us apprehensive and excited about the month ahead. It demands that we respond in the moment, to the people who we meet…trying to draw from life, more than just life drawing.
During the month the exhibition space at Caspa will be transformed as the work evolves.
