U3A Castlemaine was formed in May 1988 and in June of that year the first Committee was elected. Membership is open to anyone residing in the Mount Alexander Shire who is retired or semi-retired. The purpose of the organisation is to provide an opportunity to share knowledge of members through classes and other learning activities.
Harcourt Cemetery is located on Harmony Way , Harcourt. Gazetted in 1862, the first burial was that of Robert Young on 30th December 1866.
